"Birks" sind DIE Must-Haves in diesem Sommer. Ich muss ehrlich sagen, dass ich anfangs nicht wirklich von ihnen überzeugt war. Ich hatte sie in Erinnerung als klobige Sandalen, die einen breiten Fuß machen und meistens eher Hausschuhe darstellten. Vorletzten Sommer war ich auf der Suche nach qualitativ guten Sandalen, da ich es leid war, sie nach nur einem Sommer wegzuwerfen. Natürlich dachte ich auch an Birkenstock. Aber ich verwarf meinen Gedanken, da ich von ihrem Look noch nicht begeistert war. Inzwischen lebt ja schon fast jeder Fashion-Blogger in Birks und so probierte ich sie spontan bei einem Shopping-Trip an. Und siehe da, ich war sofort überzeugt. Sie sind einfach SOOOO bequem! Der Look ist zwar noch nicht 100% meiner und mein BF findet sie super unsexy aber das Tragegefühl ist einfach der Hammer. Dieses Modell hier finde ich zudem nicht so klobig, da die Riemen schmaler sind als bei anderen. Ich habe sie direkt in Schwarz und Dunkelblau gekauft. Seitdem sind meine "Birks" und ich an heißen Tagen unzertrennlich! Übrigens finde ich den Ausdruck "Birks" als deutsches Mädchen irgendwie lustig. Er zeigt, dass die Sandalen wohl auch bei nicht deutschsprachigen Modeliebhabern beliebt geworden sind...

"Birks" are THE must-haves of this summer. To be honest, I wasn't really convinced about them at the beginning of this trend. In my memories I saw them as clunky sandals which made a wide foot and which you rather wore as home shoes. Next to last summer I was looking for sandals with good quality because I was fed up with ones which I could throw away after just one summer. Of course, I also thought about Birkenstock at that moment. I dismissed this thought because I actually didn't like their look. Now it seems that nearly every fashion blogger lives in these shoes and so I spontaneously tried them on while I was shopping. An BOOM, I was convinced immediately. They are just sooooo comfy! Honestly, I'm not into the look for 100% and my bf says that they are totally unsexy but the feeling for my feet is so amazing. In my opinion, this model looks not that clunky as others do because its laces are a bit smaller. I bought them in black and navy-blue. Since that time me and my "Birks" are best friends on hot days! Btw, the word "Birks" is very amusing for a German girl. It shows that these sandals are liked by non German speaking fashion lovers, too...
